### ff-cli 3.0.0 — Agents get a clear answer, never a silent one

Every failure now exits with an error that names the fix, instead of a success that did nothing or cast the wrong thing. Coding agents could not see those silent successes. `play --web` puts any web page on your Art Computer, including pages on marketplace sites. The installer at feralfile.com/ff-cli-install works again.

- `setup` will not replace a signing key that is already in use, because that key owns the playlists you published. `--force` replaces it on purpose.
- With no terminal, a question exits 1 and names the flag that answers it (`find`: `-y`), instead of exiting 0 having built nothing.
- `build` exits 1 when part of the request did not happen, and still saves what it collected. `build --help` lists every requirement type.
- `play` refuses a URL that does not exist instead of casting an error page.
- `device add` treats the same address on another port as a second device.

Covers ff-cli 3.0.0. This is a major version because existing scripts can see new refusals and exit codes; the [release notes](https://github.com/feral-file/ff-cli/releases/tag/3.0.0) list each one. Install or upgrade with `npm i -g @feralfile/cli`.

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.31 — One page per person, and Art Computers from the bar

An artist, curator, or publisher now has one page covering every role they hold, instead of three separate pages each reachable only from its own credit. The Now Playing bar switches between your saved Art Computers without a trip to Settings, playing a single work plays only that work, and a playing work no longer shows a blank tile when its own row carries no image.

- Search draws works from the art catalog, Feral File, and Raster as one list ranked by relevance rather than one source stacked above the next, and a work found by two sources appears once. Works you hold stay first.
- Role labels on a person's page come from what is actually recorded, so a curator is no longer labelled a publisher. A publisher's cover, website, and description come from its own profile instead of being pieced together from its channels, and the Collected section now shows Tezos works a wallet genuinely holds.
- Rebuild metadata succeeds on works where it used to fail every time, and says when to try again when it does fail. Artwork hosted on any IPFS gateway loads, a work that cannot be displayed shows a warning icon, and an artwork sits further from its artist credit.
- Adding a playlist to Mine asks you to confirm first, playlist rows no longer flash empty when you leave Mine and come back, and the Add to playlist sheet shows each playlist's works while they load.
- On an Art Computer, Update sits directly under the Software Version, the Device Configuration page no longer reloads when you return to the app, the Display Orientation preview is drawn in the panel's own shape, and the pairing QR and browser pairing follow what is actually on the screen.

Covers mobile app 1.8.26–1.8.31. These changes are available in 1.8.31 on iOS and Android.

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.25 — Artist pages show a Raster artist's works

An artist opened from a Raster search result now shows that artist's works on the Work tab, and what the artist collects in the Collected-by section, not only the About profile.

---

## Oct 3 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.24 — Add to a playlist from Now Playing

Now Playing can add the playing work to a playlist, and the add control stays in place for works that can be added. Mine lists Collection first, with History and Downloads last. Search has a clear (X) button. A playlist still indexing reads as indexing, not empty, until the indexer answers. The Play approval sheet is one line: "Let <site> play on <Art Computer>?"

---

## Oct 2 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.23 — Expanded previews on every channel card

Artwork previews expand on every channel card.

---

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.22 — Search finds Raster works, artists, and curators

Search now finds Raster tokens and artists, and a wallet, ENS, or TNS address resolves to its Artist, Publisher, or Curator. Personal playlists are found by name. Release pages have an About tab with the vendor, edition count, and credited artists. Curator pages list a curator's playlists, and channels link to their Publisher and Curator. Artist pages show the artist's biography, links, and avatar. External links that used to leave the app with no way back now return you to it.

---

## Sep 30 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.20 — Publisher search, and steadier series

Search adds a Publisher lane and credits playlist and channel results with their real publisher or curator. Browsing cards hide passive download badges. Series keep their identity and preview strips, and a series you started from its page keeps playing through the playbar. The app waits for the database to open, with a timeout, before it starts recovery.

---

## Sep 28 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.19 — Publish with a keyring, and clearer sharing

Publishing explains itself before it runs, and Unpublish is now Stop sharing. Publishing keys are kept in a keyring, and each key signs its own publish. Channels show the selected objkt and NODE cover images. ENS and TNS names are no longer mangled while you type them. The mature-content label says it comes from the publisher, not from the device.

---

## Sep 27 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.18 — Play starts from the right place

Playing a work inside a wallet plays that work, not the wallet from the top. Coach marks and tooltips follow the target Play will use, and the series title keeps room beside the Play pill.

---

## Sep 26 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.17 — Pair a website with your Art Computer

A site can ask to play on your Art Computer. Pair it from a link, a scan, or a typed code. Each approval is matched to the request it answers, and a refused or unverifiable request ends with a clear message. Recognised app links open the pairing directly.

---

## Sep 25 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.16 — Volume and orientation that match the work

The Volume row appears only for works that can produce audio, and it stays visible while a work is still being classified. The Display Orientation preview rotates with the frame. ENS and TNS names are repaired when a stray space is typed after the dot, and links and coordinates are left as typed.

---

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.15 — Search groups results, and Mine keeps its shelves

Search results are grouped by entity, and filter chips narrow them. Art catalog results carry a Curated badge. Mine keeps its Downloads and History shelves in place across tab switches. The DP-1 signing seed stays on the device and cannot be deleted. Icons default to white instead of black on dark surfaces.

---

## Sep 24 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.14 — Device settings follow system appearance

Device settings follow your system light or dark appearance. Matting follows the device composition, and scope edits apply to showings. The Channels cover shows text over the image again.

---

## Sep 23 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.13 — Named Art Computers in scrolling sections

Settings organizes your named Art Computers into scrolling sections. Label pills on Artwork keep their state per mode, and framing rollback and disabled states are fixed.

---

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.12 — Fit and Fill in Art Computer Settings

Fit and Fill is a persistent setting in Art Computer Settings. Typography is simpler and lays out at 2× text size, and the settings list scrolls with its footer. Artwork loads from one CDN by default. Generative WebGL works render on iOS Work Detail. The artwork options menu opens as a titled bottom sheet, and the playlist verification setting was removed.

### Finding your way through Channels

Channels now group by publisher. Open a publisher's page to browse its channels, or share its link.

- On unfolded phones and wider screens, channels use two columns with titles and descriptions below their covers. Folding the phone, loading previews, and returning from a work keep your place.
- Search combines artist results that share a wallet address. Artist pages show that address when it is known.
- Label pages show when more works are loading and when the catalog cannot answer, instead of presenting an incomplete answer as finished.

Covers mobile app 1.8.10–1.8.11. These changes are available in 1.8.11 on iOS and Android.

---

## Sep 22 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.11 — Publisher, back on the Channels tab

Channels now group by publisher, with a Publisher page listing its channels and its own link. Leaving a channel's works carousel and coming back no longer resets it. Search collapses artist rows that share a wallet address, and Artist pages show that address when known. Device settings show selected Content options at full brightness, with a smoother Mine reveal. Labels stay honest when the catalog can't answer, and Mine's empty message shows only when the tab truly is empty.

---

## Sep 21 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.10 — Channels fit your screen

Channels use two columns on unfolded phones and wider screens, with titles and descriptions below each cover. Folding and loading previews keep your place, and channels without images stay compact. Label pages show when more works are still loading. This update also fixes a database upgrade issue.

---

## Sep 20 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.9 — Next and Previous, restored

Next and Previous work again, and tapping a work in the playing list jumps straight to it — both had stopped responding on some Art Computers. Detail pages ease their header aside as you scroll and bring it back on the way up. A playlist plays from its preview before you save it. Downloads moved into the options menu, empty About sections stay hidden, and Matting only shows while Fill is selected.

---

## Sep 18 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.8 — Settings that answer questions

Your Art Computer's settings now read top to bottom as questions about the machine: how it shows a work, what it shows, when it is on, who can play to it, and the machine itself. Content uses the page's own Hide/Show choices, with the personal choice inside hiding. An artist page draws the editions of one release as a single series tile that opens the release. A playlist you published is recognized as yours when its own link is opened.

---

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.7 — Labels that find the work

A label chip on a work now opens every work with that label, in catalog order — not scattered search results. Publish a playlist and the share sheet opens right away. A pinch that starts as a swipe now zooms the artwork instead of flicking to the next work. Work Detail names the playlist a work belongs to; Labels folds to three chips with the rest a tap away. Mine now shows your Art Computer's Downloads beside History, with empty sections hidden.

---

## Sep 17 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.6 — Share what you made

A playlist you put together is now something you can send. Publish it and share the link, and your friend opens it in their app. Change it and the link updates; unpublish it and the link stops. A series now plays from the Now Playing bar: first work, random, or the whole run. Favorites stays out of the way until you have one.

---

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.5 — Start where you tapped

Play a playlist from the work you tapped, and swipe left or right to move between works without backing out. Playlists cast to your wall arrive exactly as their publisher signed them, with a setting to verify signatures. A work keeps playing through a phone lock, a dead page reloads with a tap, and thumbnails wait until they resolve. Artist pages say Works and Collects, and related works read More from the channel.

---

## Sep 15 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.4 — Back to the work

Tap the Now Playing header to open the work on your wall, with its description and favorites. Daily says when the next work arrives, the search field says what it searches, and the Token link opens the work's own page. .tez domains resolve, Forgot I Exist resets cleanly, sliders are easier to grab, and personal works carry no Channel label.

---

## Sep 11 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.3 — More room for the work

Artwork grids adapt to foldable and wider screens, with readable credits and artwork beside its information on Daily and work pages. Folding preserves your place and live preview. You is now Mine. Support asks one question and attaches diagnostics automatically, with stronger redaction of private links.

---

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.2 — Fuller channel cards, and artist pages that open from everywhere

**Channel cards now show more of what a channel holds,** reaching back through earlier playlists to fill the preview, and the Channels tab reports catalog loading progress with a retry when some channels fail. Artist pages open reliably from Search and a work’s Metadata, and list the works you hold by that artist. A work’s page renders live even while it plays on your Art Computer, and thumbnails are sharper and match the catalog.
---

## Sep 10 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.8.1 — History and viewing controls

History in You lets you return to works played on compatible Art Computers. New viewing preferences control mature-labelled previews and playback from your phone, with separate device settings where supported. Search and subscribed channels update more reliably, artist results show portraits, and IPFS artworks open directly. Paired websites can stay connected until you revoke them.

---

### Feral File Mobile App 1.7.1 — Share a work, and find what you own

**You can now hand a work to someone.** Share from a work's page sends a link; the person who opens it sees the work in their app and can play it on their Art Computer. A subscribed playlist shares the same way. Search now also finds the works you hold through your added addresses, alongside the catalog, so a title or artist name reaches your own collection. Home is now three doors: Daily, Channels, and You, and a channel's newest playlist can be previewed and played from its page.

---

## Sep 4 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.7.0 — A faster catalog, and a name for each Art Computer

**The catalog now arrives as it loads instead of downloading in one large block.** A new install reaches home right away and fills in as channels stream in, an interrupted update resumes where it stopped, and a playlist's works are fetched the first time you open it and kept for offline viewing. You can also give each Art Computer its own name, so two frames in one home are told apart by label instead of serial number.

---

## Aug 29 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.6.2 — Minor improvements and bug fixes

**This release includes minor improvements and bug fixes.** It restores internal groundwork for a paused Art Computer capability; nothing changes in the app today.

---

## Aug 28 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.6.1 — Hide unwanted works from My Collection

Hide unwanted or spam artworks from an address-based My Collection playlist. Hidden works stay out of collection playback, downloads, and Art Computer casting, remain hidden through sync and restart, and can be restored from the playlist's Hidden works menu.

---

## Aug 26 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.6.0 — Minor improvements and bug fixes

This release includes minor improvements and bug fixes.

---

## Aug 24 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.5.9 — Add to a playlist in one pass

Adding a work to a playlist is now one pass. Tapping Add opens the playlist sheet directly, where each playlist shows its name over a strip of the works already in it. Mark as many as you want and press Done — nothing is saved until then. When Favorites is your only playlist it is already selected, so Add and Done is all it takes.

---

### Feral File Mobile App 1.5.8 — Smarter automatic matte color

Auto matte color now picks a real color from the artwork instead of an average that matched nothing. In the Control Center matte color picker, the A swatch fills with the sampled color so you can see the suggestion before applying it. Works on black or white grounds keep their ground color, and the app now tells you when a color can't be sampled.

---

## Aug 23 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.5.7 — Minor improvements and bug fixes

This release includes minor improvements and bug fixes.

---

## Aug 22 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.5.6 — Muted artwork previews in Discover

Artwork previews in Discover now start muted. Tap the sound control when you want to hear them, so opening Discover no longer plays audio unexpectedly.

---

### Feral File Mobile App 1.5.5 — Collect series from Search

Collect a Feral File catalog series directly into My Collection from Search.

Wallet updates no longer start overlapping retries, followed Channel playlists stay attached after refresh, and playback returns to its last accepted mode when an Art Computer rejects a change.

Controls are easier to tap, layouts remain usable with larger text, and retry messages stay available to screen readers.

---

## Aug 18 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.5.4 — Steadier Art Computer control, and Raster in search

Hidden artwork no longer keeps using CPU. Control Center rows are aligned and their labels are tappable. Art Computer resolution keeps working through a refresh, and LAN endpoints are not dropped on a transient failure. Search adds the Raster art index as a lane.

---

## Aug 11 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.5.2 — Offline downloads, and LAN control

The app prefers your local network for Art Computer control. Offline downloads have a way out of a partial capture, and confirmations name the Art Computer. Subscribing to a feed opens the playlist it produced. The Play coach mark is anchored to the live button.

---

## Aug 10 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.5.1 — Search all of Feral File, and paste identifiers

Search covers all of Feral File and accepts pasted identifiers. Add is retired from the main menu, Channel Detail, and search. The Control Center shows what is on the wall on one screen. Collections borrow their cover from the art inside them, and the playing bar no longer cuts its message in half. The system bars are transparent, and text can scale to 2×.

---

## Jul 29 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.4.1 — Play from search and releases, and clearer cast failures

Works from a search, or a series on a release page, can play on your Art Computer. A cast that never reaches the device now says so. Adding to a playlist commits immediately instead of previewing. Dark-surface text is legible, and playback status stays in step with the device.

---

## Jul 16 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.3.4 — Durable Add, secure ff-cli pairing, and steadier playlists

**Add supports addresses, domains, and token URLs with durable progress.** Add now accepts addresses, domains, and supported marketplace or token URLs in one flow. Each preview resolves on its own, and selected additions can keep resolving in the background after you leave or restart the app.

**Pair ff-cli securely with your Art Computer.** The app verifies the device, CLI code, and a security check before transferring the relay topic—without exposing your credential.

**Art library updates stay reliable while collections resolve.** Newly added collections no longer interrupt art-library updates when resolvers are still running.

**Address playlists show newest ownership first.** Provenance ordering is restored so the newest ownership appears first across pagination, refreshes, and existing collections.

**Address labels stay readable on playlist rows.** Address labels return to the trailing edge of playlist rows, with safe truncation for long values.

---

## Jul 10 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.3.3 — FF1 setup reliability and release browsing

**FF1 setup completes after OTA without a false failure.** A firmware update could finish successfully while the app still showed "Setup could not finish." Setup now builds the navigate and teardown snapshot from the same polling BLE session instead of a separate connect path, so a successful update leads to a successful finish.

**FF1 setup handles slow devices and dropped connections.** The BLE command layer is hardened for slow responses and mid-command disconnects, with clearer retry copy on Wi-Fi setup screens when something needs another try.

**Release browsing is more reliable.** The indexer caches release metadata and persists `release_id` on items, so release-scoped browsing stays consistent as your catalog loads.

**Release detail navigation is smoother.** Scoped release flows now follow one path, so moving through release details is less likely to hit inconsistent screens.

**Legacy signed channels load correctly.** DP-1 signatures with an optional `0x` prefix are accepted again, so older signed payloads still verify.

---

## Jul 6 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.3.2 — Channel and playlist About tabs, steadier play on FF1, and clearer copy

**Channel and playlist details are easier to scan.** Detail pages now split into a primary content tab and an **About** tab, with description previews, **Read more** for longer text, clearer metadata rows, and indexing status where it belongs.

**Browser Pairing is back on supported FF1 builds.** Device Settings shows Browser Pairing again when your Art Computer runs a supported FFOS version, so linking stays available without workarounds.

**Playlist play on FF1 is more resilient.** Casting a playlist is steadier: local playlists convert cleanly for playback, and rows that cannot be read no longer block the entire playlist from playing.

**Copy is clearer across the app.** Wi‑Fi, Device ID, accessibility labels, and playlist messages now use consistent native English wording, with checks in place to keep future copy on track.

---

## Jun 30 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.3.1 — Browse, search, and setup reliability

**Browse now starts with publishers.** Publisher-first sections now surface **More** and **All** drill-ins, and publisher titles resolve from the shared publisher data so the browse experience stays consistent.

**Browse tabs keep a cleaner layout.** The bottom spacing on browse tabs is tightened up so the home screen no longer leaves extra room at the bottom.

**Search favors artists sooner.** Artist matches now rank ahead of title matches in item search, making people easier to find when both could apply.

**Playlist changes stay controlled.** Curated channels and playlists can no longer be mutated by mistake, and legacy user playlists are rebuilt into **My Collection**.

**FF1 setup and recovery are more resilient.** Setup now polls for phase changes, handles recovery better, and resumes more reliably after a cold start. Pairing and teardown are also hardened.

**External art computer consent is handled explicitly.** The app now includes a consent flow for external art computers.

**Data handling is more forgiving.** Malformed playlist items in watch streams are ignored, enrich recovers better from partial failures, and token ingest is more resilient when DP-1 metadata is malformed.

---

## Jun 23 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.3.0 — Build playlists in the app

You can now build playlists directly in the app. Create one, name it, reorder the works inside it, and delete it when you're done. This is the feature people kept asking for, and it's here.

Playback picked up two fixes. Shuffle and repeat now work correctly in Now Playing, and the sleep indicator no longer sits on top of the controls.

Pairing is more reliable too. Setting up an Art Computer no longer stalls when the device limits how quickly it responds.

---

## Jun 19 2026

### ff-cli 2.0.1 — Playback timing fixes

A patch release on top of 2.0.0.

- **Signed media URLs play correctly again.** A media URL with a query string or fragment — e.g. `art.png?sig=…` or `clip.mp4#t=1`, common for signed/CDN links — was misread and could play as a still or lose its display duration. The type is now read from the URL path only, so images get their duration and videos play their natural length.
- **`play` points marketplace links to `find`.** Pasting a marketplace URL `play` can't cast directly (for example a legacy Art Blocks `/projects/{id}` link) now tells you to use `ff-cli find <url> --play` instead of trying to render the web page.

Update with `npm i -g @feralfile/cli@latest`.

---

## Jun 18 2026

### ff-cli 2.0.0 — Deterministic CLI, no API key

**Chat is gone — your coding agent is the chat now**

ff-cli no longer ships a built-in `chat` command or any LLM integration. Natural language belongs in a coding agent — Claude Code, Codex, Cursor — which drives ff-cli's commands directly through the `ff-control` skill. `ff-cli setup` no longer asks for an Anthropic / OpenAI / Grok / Gemini API key, and none is required to find, build, sign, play, or publish.

This is a breaking change: the `chat` command and the `defaultModel` / `models` config block are removed. Existing `config.json` files keep working — the now-unused keys are simply ignored.

**Interactive web art plays open-ended**

`ff-cli play <url>` for an interactive or generative web page now renders the live page and leaves it running, instead of cutting and restarting it every few seconds. ff-cli previously misclassified unknown URLs as static images and stamped a fixed display duration; HTML and other web pages now play with no forced duration, so a conformant player parks on them indefinitely.

**`play` points you to `find` for marketplace links**

Hand `ff-cli play` a marketplace URL, on-chain coordinates, or a wallet address and it now points you to `ff-cli find <input> --play`, which resolves the artwork through the indexer — rather than trying to cast the web page itself. `play` stays the exact-source command (playlist files, hosted playlists, direct media/web URLs); `find` stays the discovery command.

**Install**

```bash
npm install -g @feralfile/cli
```

---

## Jun 9 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.2.0 — Discover tab, easier Art Computer setup, and richer work details

**Discover what to play next**

A new **Discover** tab brings a discovery feed that loads as you browse, pulls from live local providers, and hydrates curated channels and playlists once your catalog seed is ready.

**Easier path to set up an Art Computer**

**Setup Art Computer** is available from the device picker, the no-paired sheet offers a direct setup link, and Wi‑Fi errors route to the right setup step so failures are easier to recover from.

**Wi‑Fi credentials remembered during setup**

During Art Computer setup, Wi‑Fi credentials can be saved securely unless you decline—with obscured password prefill when you return, so you are less likely to retype everything from scratch.

**Work descriptions with formatting**

Work detail descriptions now render markdown, so artist statements and notes read with proper structure instead of plain unformatted text.

**Playback bar thumbnails that fit**

The Now Playing bar fixes thumbnail aspect ratio and alignment so artwork previews look correct while you browse.

**Playlist display settings stay in spec**

Display preferences for playlists follow the current DP-1 format, so what you set in the app stays aligned with what FF1 expects.

---

## Jun 3 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.1.14 — Pair from a link without getting stuck

**Device-connect links open a safe path to pairing**

When you open the app from an external device-connect link, Home now anchors the Art Computer scan step so navigation can unwind cleanly before Connect opens. Pairing from a link is less likely to leave you on a stuck screen stack.

---

## May 31 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.1.13 — Faster Art Computer setup

**Fewer steps to set up your Art Computer**

The extra welcome splash between scanning or choosing a device and pairing is gone—one less tap on every setup.

**Setup screens that read cleanly**

Onboarding layout no longer lets the **Continue** button overlap the last line of body copy, so setup text stays readable on smaller phones.

---

## May 29 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.1.12 — Calmer onboarding, steadier FF1 playback controls, and clearer device care

**Onboarding that matches how we talk about art**

Onboarding copy now follows the current Feral File voice—calm and art-first. The add-address step drops ownership-coded wording, and the start-setup splash aligns with the language on the Art Computer box insert.

**Setup labels that fit on screen**

The **Setup Art Computer** action on the add-screens step has room to display fully, so the label no longer truncates on smaller phones.

**Repeat-off stays off on FF1**

When you turn repeat off for what is playing on FF1, that choice persists across taps and reconnects instead of snapping back.

**More accurate GPU usage on FF1**

GPU usage readings now reflect actual load more accurately when the device provides busy-time metrics.

**Factory reset clears the device from the app**

After a factory reset on FF1, the app removes that device from your list so you are not left controlling a box that was wiped.

---

## May 25 2026

### ff-cli 1.2.0 — Paste a URL, get a playable playlist

**Find an artwork from anywhere**

A new `ff-cli find` command takes a marketplace URL, raw on-chain coordinates (`ethereum:{contract}:{tokenId}` / `tezos:{contract}:{tokenId}`), or a wallet address and builds a DP-1 playlist you can save, play on the Art Computer, or publish. Marketplace coverage is Objkt, fxhash (gentk pages, live iterations, and projects), Art Blocks collections, OpenSea, SuperRare, Feral File exhibitions, and Neort. Wallet-address input picks an artwork from that address's catalog. No LLM API key required.

**Stronger playlist delivery**

A series of fixes closes gaps where an unsigned or invalidly-signed playlist could reach the Art Computer. The shared send path now verifies before delivery; auto-signing is restricted to synthesized media playlists. `ff-cli find --play` runs through the same verification gate as `ff-cli play`, with a `--skip-verify` escape hatch.

**DP-1 1.1.0 with signatures[]**

All build flows (`chat`, `build`, `find`) emit `dpVersion: 1.1.0` with the multi-signature `signatures[]` envelope, matching the canonical DP-1 spec.

**Install**

```bash
npm install -g @feralfile/cli
```

---

## May 25 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.1.11 — Smoother FF1 setup, playback overlays that match the work, and settings polish

**FF1 setup finishes cleanly**

Setup over BLE now tears down when pairing succeeds, so you are not left in a stale setup session after FF1 is ready.

**Onboarding when FF1 is already set up**

If the Art Computer is already configured, onboarding shows a **Continue** action instead of pushing you through setup again.

**Setup screens that fit on screen**

Button labels and layout were adjusted so setup copy does not overflow on smaller phones.

**Playback overlays match the work**

Still-image works no longer show volume or interact overlays, and overlay visibility follows what the work type actually supports—so controls only appear when they apply.

**Now Playing without a misleading progress bar**

Single-work playlists hide the progress bar, so you are not shown playlist progress that does not exist.

**Clearer GPU health on FF1**

Device metrics use neutral colors for GPU readings, with temperature warnings when thresholds are crossed—easier to scan at a glance.

**Settings and menu clarity**

Forget local data copy is clearer about what is removed. **Add Address** uses a plus icon so the action reads at a glance.

---

## May 15 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.1.10 — FF1 sleep scheduling, clearer hardware names, and steadier control

**Scheduled sleep and wake**

Device Configuration can set FF1 sleep and wake on a schedule, with clearer setup when firmware supports it, validated time entry, and a passive indicator that stays aligned with the device state.

**Names that match what you see in the UI**

Customer-facing wording now favors **Art Computer** and **Art Panel** instead of FF1/FFP-style labels, so menus and setup read like the hardware names we use outwardly.

**More dependable FF1 control when connections shift**

Reconnect and relayer pause handling were hardened against lifecycle races—so pairing and control flows are less likely to feel out of sync after a flaky connection.

**Support logs without surprise**

The support diagnostics flow separates consent more clearly, respects which device is active when logs are gathered, and tightens onboarding teardown edge cases—so troubleshooting requests are clearer and safer to complete.

---

## May 14 2026

### FF OS 1.0.15 — Scheduled sleep and wake

**Set daily sleep and wake times**

FF1 can now follow an enabled sleep and wake schedule using local wall-clock times. The schedule is stored on the device and survives a reboot, so installs can turn on and off at the expected times without manual touch.

**Wake or sleep FF1 from Device Configuration**

When supported firmware is connected, Device Configuration can wake FF1 now or put it to sleep now. The FFP power state follows the FF1 sleep transition, so the panel and player stay aligned.

### Feral File Mobile App 1.1.9 — Richer channels and FF1 control, steadier catalog data

**Stronger catalog and seed handling**

Startup validates bundled catalog swaps more strictly, recovers cleanly if a swap was interrupted, and tightens reset cleanup—including clearer rollback paths—so browsing stays consistent after updates or recovery.

**All Channels organized by publisher**

Curated channels group under their publisher with sticky headers, lists can refresh in parallel, and stale publishers read more clearly—so scanning channels is easier and lists feel fresher.

**Control FF1 from work detail and the touchpad**

Refresh what is playing on FF1 from a work’s detail screen. Over Wi‑Fi you can use touchpad gestures—tap, drag, click-and-drag, and pinch zoom—and when the app falls back from Wi‑Fi to BLE, it establishes BLE before sending BLE commands.

**Work detail shows channel context**

Works carry channel metadata and channel lookup tracks navigation more reliably as you move through the app.

**Pairing QR and interface polish**

Pairing QR availability stays aligned with the device’s display URL state. Menus, onboarding icons, the main bar when titles are off-center, and work detail toolbars also get layout and visual tidy-ups.

### Feral File Mobile App 1.1.8 — Steadier FF1 connection, playback parity, and calmer multitasking

**FF1 Wi‑Fi and reconnect**

The app coordinates pause and connect on the relayer path, serializes connect work while teardown finishes, and tightens reconnect behavior—so staying online with FF1 is less likely to get stuck in between states.

**Loop and shuffle match FF1**

A `none` loop mode joins clearer shuffle vs loop behavior, and the now-playing repeat UI aligns with FF1 so controls match what FF1 actually does.

**Playlists recover from damaged local rows**

Malformed playlist rows are healed when you open the app, repair metadata is preserved, and startup is safer when data is bad—so playlists from channels are more likely to load instead of failing quietly.

**Onboarding and dialogs**

Add-address flow defers navigation until the route is still current, and info dialogs use safer context—fewer wrong-screen moments while you finish setup.

**Playback and layout polish**

You get a playback progress indicator with a bottom fade; audio, video, and web playback pause when the app goes to the background; grid and Wi‑Fi screens are cleaned up; when the Now Displaying bar is hidden, the bottom fade adjusts so the layout stays balanced.

### Feral File Mobile App 1.1.7 — Playlist catalog updates, iOS stability, and clearer recovery

**Updated playlist format support**

The app adopts DP-1 1.1.0 structured playlist signatures so playlists and channels stay aligned with the current catalog schema, including migration and snapshot handling.

**More stable on iOS**

WebKit webview updates reduce teardown crashes when leaving web content, and a startup crash path in Now Displaying sync is fixed.

**Stronger local data recovery**

Database close and reopen are sequenced more safely after seed replace, with clearer ordering when schema reset fails so the app can recover instead of staying stuck.

**Easier Now Displaying**

The full expanded row for playlist items is tappable, not only a narrow label area.

---

## Apr 6 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.1.6 — Richer FF1 controls, steadier setup, and snappier sync

**Firmware updates through the relayer**

Device Configuration now supports relayer-based firmware updates, with a clearer path when an update is available.

**Monitor controls when your hardware supports them**

When FFP/DDC is available on your FF1 setup, you can adjust brightness, contrast, monitor volume, and power from Device Configuration—so you can tune how works look and sound without leaving the app.

**Setup and Wi‑Fi reconnect are easier to trust**

Device setup is orchestrated more clearly, reconnect paths surface better diagnostics when something goes wrong, and if sending Wi‑Fi credentials fails, the connecting state clears instead of leaving the app stuck on loading.

**Browsing and viewing feel tighter**

The Now Displaying bar uses sharper thumbnails, back navigation and titles track routes more reliably, HTML text selection reads clearly on dark surfaces, work counts use the right singular or plural wording, and the Favorite row on work detail appears only when that work is actually in your Favorites.

---

## Mar 25 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.1.5 — Steadier Art Computer connection, and iOS stability

The iOS app no longer crashes when a webview shuts down. Wi-Fi connections to your Art Computer tear down cleanly. The now displaying bar keeps your work when enrichment is unavailable, and carousel items open the work.

---

## Mar 21 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.1.4 — Favorites survive catalog updates

Your Favorite playlist is kept when the catalog updates. Artist search matches more names and metadata, and your address playlist shows even when it is empty.

---

## Mar 19 2026

### FF OS 1.0.10 — Shuffle and loop controls, and stability for heavy artworks

**Shuffle and loop controls for playlists**

You can now set a playlist to shuffle its play order, loop continuously, or both.

**FF1 handles memory-intensive artworks without getting stuck**

Some complex artworks can demand more memory than the system has available. Previously this would crash FF1 and leave it unable to switch to a different artwork. FF1 now handles these cases and recovers without getting stuck.

---

## Mar 17 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.1.3 — Favorites, cleaner collections, and reliability fixes

**Save works to your Favorites playlist**

You can now favorite works from your collection to save them to a dedicated Favorites playlist—a simple way to curate exactly what you want playing on FF1.

**Your collection stays accurate**

Works that can no longer be played—because their source is offline or unreachable—are now automatically removed from your collection.

**FF1 devices no longer go missing after upgrading**

Upgrading from an older version of the app could cause paired FF1 devices to disappear from the device list. This is now fixed.

**Work count in the Me section is now correct**

The work count in the Me section now shows the correct number while scrolling.

---

## Mar 16 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.1.2 — Favorite playlist, Shuffle, and Loop

Favorites is now a playlist of its own, and the History playlist was removed. Shuffle and Loop actions were added. Forget I Exist clears your favorites cleanly. Work and channel links open directly by id, and text keeps its designed size on small phones.

---

### Feral File Mobile App 1.1.1 — Retry seed downloads, and rebuild a work's metadata

Interrupted database downloads resume. A work's metadata can be rebuilt through the indexer, and work details show provenance. The QR scanner resumes reliably. The now displaying bar hides behind modals, and playlists load faster.

---

## Mar 9 2026

### FF OS 1.0.9 — Stronger defaults, full-length video, and richer logs

**FF1 is more secure by default**

SSH access via username and password is now disabled. If you need to connect to FF1 directly—for development or debugging—use [ff1-cli](https://github.com/feral-file/ff-cli) to connect instead.

**Videos that were cutting off early now play their full length**

A video indexing issue was causing some artworks to play shorter than intended. If a video in your collection was affected, open the Feral File app and use **Rebuild Metadata** to restore full-length playback.

**More detailed logs for faster fixes**

FF1 now captures more detail when crashes or failures occur, helping us identify and resolve issues faster.

### Feral File Mobile App 1.1.0 — Smoother browsing, audio control, and all exhibitions

**Smoother scrolling and faster collection sync**

The app has been rebuilt from the ground up. Scrolling through large collections stays smooth even when many thumbnails are loading, and collection sync is faster and lighter—no more freezing or lag while your library updates. Since this is a complete rewrite, you may spot occasional rough edges—let us know through in-app support if anything seems off.

**Control audio from the app**

You can now adjust audio directly from the Feral File app while artwork is playing on FF1.

**All Feral File exhibitions are now channels**

Every Feral File exhibition is now visible as a channel in the app. Previously only a selection appeared—now the full archive is there to browse and play.

---

## Feb 24 2026

### FF OS 1.0.8 — Fewer reboots and smarter recovery

**OTA and factory reset complete in a single reboot**

FF1 now reboots just once during OTA updates and factory resets. Improved failure fallback support keeps recovery on track automatically if something goes wrong mid-process.

**Recovery baseline stays current**

FF1 can now update its factory reset version over time. If you ever need to factory reset, you recover to a more current state—with fewer follow-up OTA steps to get back up and running.

---

## Feb 4 2026

### FF OS 1.0.7 — Automatic timezone

**FF1 uses the right timezone automatically**

FF1 now automatically sets the correct timezone. This matters for works that change behavior based on local time—so what you see on screen matches the artist’s intent wherever the device is.

### Feral File Mobile App 1.0.9 — Updates, browsing, and faster syncing

**Manually update FF OS when you missed the overnight window**

FF OS updates are usually applied automatically overnight. If your FF1 was powered off during that window, you can now trigger an update from the mobile app once the device is back online.

**Playlists browsing stays smooth**

Playlists no longer jump back to the top while loading or refreshing, and loading performance is smoother during longer browsing sessions.

**Faster My Collection sync (with a note)**

We reduced redundant requests during token syncing, which should make first-time sync and incremental updates noticeably faster—especially for larger collections.

---

## Jan 28 2026

### FF OS 1.0.6 — Faster loads, smoother onboarding, and better recovery

**Faster loads with a larger Chromium cache**

FF1 now keeps a larger Chromium cache, reducing repeat network requests. Artworks load faster, and it saves bandwidth on slower connections.

**Internet detection is more forgiving during onboarding**

FF1 now handles unstable internet and brief network drops more gracefully during onboarding, so setup is less likely to get blocked at the exact wrong moment.

**Clear confirmation when OTA is triggered from the app**

Starting with FF OS 1.0.6, when you trigger an OTA update from the mobile app, FF1 shows a clearer confirmation that the update was received and started. (On earlier versions like 1.0.5, OTA may still run in the background without an on-screen confirmation.)

**Bigger log uploads for better debugging**

FF1 can now upload larger logs, giving us more context when diagnosing tricky issues.

### Feral File Mobile App 1.0.7 — More reliable collections, Now Playing, and device controls

**Collections stay usable while indexing catches up**

Large collections no longer fail all‑or‑nothing during indexing. When works are still syncing, the app keeps browsing and playback usable with what’s ready, and collection status is rendered from the server’s stage + counts. **Rebuild metadata** is safe again—it no longer produces empty playlists or makes the **Me** section disappear after an app restart. When a work can’t load, the app avoids blank “Error” tiles and shows a clear unavailable state instead.

**Channels load consistently**

The Channels tab no longer intermittently shows only the default **Feral File** channel.

**Now Playing stays accurate for single‑art playback**

Switching between single artworks no longer causes the Now Playing bar to desync, and expanding the Now Playing bar no longer shows an empty view.

**Sleep / Screen Off for power saving**

You can now put FF1 to sleep to turn off the screen and save power, with a reliable wake path when you’re ready to play again.

---

## Jan 19 2026

### FF OS 1.0.5 — HDMI orientation + crash recovery

**Orientation stays correct after HDMI hot‑plug**

FF1 no longer resets screen orientation to the default when you unplug/replug HDMI, so artworks keep playing in the intended orientation.

**Playback resumes after service recovery**

If the playback service crashes and restarts, FF1 now resumes the current playlist correctly instead of getting stuck.

---

## Jan 15 2026

### Feral File Mobile App 1.0.6 — Smoother FF1 setup and recovery

**Setup continues without a second QR scan**

FF1 still shows a QR code to get you into the app, but you shouldn’t have to scan it twice. After install, the app can discover a nearby FF1 over Bluetooth and continue setup. If there’s more than one FF1 nearby, you can pick the one you want before connecting.

**Wi‑Fi setup is clearer when you’re moving fast**

Choosing a Wi‑Fi network now centers the SSID list as the main action, with **Other network…** as the fallback. If FF1 can’t connect, the app now gives a clearer error and a better next step (for example: double-check the password, try again, or move FF1 to a stronger signal).

**Reconnect is no longer a dead end after reinstall**

If you delete and reinstall the app (or use **Forget I exist**), you can re-discover and reconnect to an existing FF1 instead of getting stuck without a connect path.

**My Collection search stays fresh**

After you add an address, **My Collection** search updates when indexing completes—without needing an app restart.

## Jan 10 2026

### FF OS 1.0.4 — Stable playback with large artworks

**Player Crash Fix for Large Artwork Data**

Fixed a crash in the FF1 player when playlists include large artwork payloads. This also reduces the knock‑on effects we saw on the phone side (app lag and occasional loss of connection while FF1 is under load).

**Bluetooth Reconnect Without Re-Scanning QR**

After the initial QR setup, the mobile app can scan and reconnect to FF1 over Bluetooth without scanning the TV QR code again. This makes setup one-scan-per-install, and it gives users a recovery path when the app forgets the device.

### Feral File Mobile App 1.0.5 — Connectivity, UX, and Support

**Offline Recovery**

If you launch the app while offline, it now restores connection automatically once the internet is back.

**Friendlier Prompt Bar Errors**

Errors in the Prompt Bar now show human-friendly messages instead of technical failures.

**QR + Camera Permission Fix**

Fixed a camera permission error on first-time QR scanning.

**Now Playing + Collection Sync Fixes**

- Tapping the currently playing artwork from the Now Playing bar no longer shows a blank screen
- Now Playing bar reliably updates the active artwork
- Collection artwork lists stay in sync between Home and Playlists without needing an app restart

**Navigation Fix**

Fixed the “→ All” button disappearing after returning from the All Curated Playlists view.

**FF1 Connection Improvement**

The app no longer requires a second QR scan to connect to FF1 after install.

**Play Tooltip**

Added a tooltip to explain how to play art from the mobile app.

**Support**

Customer support is now handled via email: support@feralfile.com

## Dec 17

### FF OS 1.0.2 — More reliable playlist playback

**Playlists Start Consistently**

Fixed an edge case where tapping **Play on FF1** from a playlist could fail to start playback on the device, even though the same artwork would play when launched directly.

### Feral File Mobile App 1.0.2 — Readability & Stability

**Improved Readability**

Typography is now larger and more consistent across onboarding and core screens, making the app easier to scan when your phone is acting as an FF1 controller.

**More Stable Browsing**

Resolved a crash that could occur while scrolling and loading more items in **Playlists**, **Channels**, and **Works**.

**My Collection Ordering Stays Stable**

Fixed a case where works could jump to the top of **My Collection** even when nothing changed for the connected wallet. “Recent” should now reflect your own adds and transfers.

---

## Dec 10

### FF OS 1.0.1 — Playlist Reliability & Faster Recovery

**Playlists Advance Correctly**

Fixed an issue where FF1 could play only the first artwork in a playlist and then stop. The playback queue now moves through the full sequence as expected.

**Faster Factory Reset & Log Upload**

Factory reset and log upload now run primarily over Wi‑Fi instead of Bluetooth. Resets complete faster and logs reach us more reliably for debugging. If Wi‑Fi is unavailable or fails, FF1 automatically falls back to Bluetooth so recovery still works.

### Feral File Mobile App 1.0.0 — Dedicated FF1 Controller

**New FF1-Focused App**

We’ve launched a new mobile app dedicated to FF1 setup and control, with updated onboarding, menus, and setup flows to make first-time pairing and daily use simpler.

**Collection & Playback Fixes**

- Correct token ordering for works affected by address-agnostic provenance
- Fix for the first two artworks sometimes showing as “Unknown Artist / Unknown Title” with no thumbnail
- Reliable playlist thumbnails after adding an address
- “Play” button in user playlists now starts playback as expected

**Simpler Sign-In**

The new app no longer requires a passkey to use. You can control FF1 more quickly while we continue to evolve the long-term account and credential model.

### Mobile App — Content Update

**Objkt Playlists Temporarily Hidden**

We've paused visibility for most Objkt playlists in the mobile app while rebuilding the indexing pipeline. Two selective playlists remain available for demo purposes. Objkt artworks play normally on your FF1, but the mobile app couldn't load thumbnails or some artworks reliably. The feature returns once the new indexer is stable.

---

## Oct 21
